CJ VINA AGRI DONATED 4 BILLION DONG TO THE COVID-19 VACCINE FUND

Responding to the call of the Government, joining hands with individuals, organizations, and the community to quickly bring vaccines to the people of Vietnam on the morning of 25 June 2021, in Hanoi, CJ Vietnam Group donated VND 6.49 billion to the Covid-19 Vaccine Fund – VND 4 billion of which was contributed by CJ Vina Agri Company.

The representative of CJ Vietnam Group donated VND 6.49 billion to the Covid-19 Vaccine Fund through the representative of the Ministry of Finance.

According to the Ministry of Health, the urgent implementation of public vaccination to achieve herd immunity is a prerequisite for Vietnam to successfully control the pandemic and reopen the economy. Therefore, the Covid-19 Vaccine Fund was established by the Government to support and finance the purchase and import of vaccines, as well as research and production of vaccines in the country.

Constantly and actively accompanying the Government, localities, and people in the fight against the pandemic, on the morning of 25 June, at the Office of the Management Board of the Covid-19 Vaccine Fund under the Ministry of Finance (Hanoi), CJ Vietnam Group and its member companies announced their donation of VND 6.49 billion to the Covid-19 Vaccine Fund, contributing to the efforts of the Government to quickly bring vaccination to the people.

Attending this ceremony were Mr. Ho Duc Phuc - Minister of Finance and Mr. Chang Bok Sang - Chairman of CJ Group Vietnam. Speaking at the reception ceremony, Mr. Ho Duc Phuc acknowledged the contribution of CJ Vietnam Group and its subsidiaries who have always been active in social contribution activities for Vietnamese people. Besides, he emphasized that the support and contribution of domestic and foreign enterprises were extremely important and had practical significance in promoting Vietnam’s tradition of solidarity and humanity, contributing to the successful achievement of both economic development and effective epidemic prevention.

Through this contribution of VND 4 billion, CJ Vina Agri (a subsidiary of CJ Vietnam Group) – an enterprise with more than 20 years of experience in developing the closed 3F value chain including Feed, Farm, Food - desired to contribute to speeding up the process of herd immunity so that people could soon overcome the disease safely. At the same time, the company wished to spread the business philosophy of: "Contributing to the country and society by creating the best values through OnlyOne products and services” that the company has pursued for more than two decades.

In addition, since the recent outbreak of the pandemic, CJ Vina Agri has also donated necessities with a value of VND 217.5 million to the Fatherland Front Committee of the local area to support the prevention and control of the pandemic in the “hot” areas affected seriously by the pandemic like Song Cong city and Dong Hy district (Thai Nguyen province), Viet Yen district (Bac Giang province), An Binh commune (Thuan Thanh district, Bac Ninh province).

The representative of CJ Vina Agri in the North gave necessities to the representative of the Fatherland Front Committee of Thai Nguyen province.

 

At the ceremony on 25 June, Mr. Chang Bok Sang, the representative of CJ Vietnam Group, shared: “For more than 20 years of operating and developing in Vietnam, we have been constantly accompanying the Vietnamese Government in all social contribution activities. Many subsidiaries of the Group have also been heavily affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, CJ Vietnam hopes that these small contributions, together with those of other businesses and millions of people across the country, will partly reduce the burden on the State Budget and support the Government to speed up the public vaccination so that businesses will soon return to normal activities to continue the development of the national economy."
