On 27 May 2021, at CJ Vina Agri Headquarter, a strategic cooperation agreement was signed between CJ Vina Agri and Fisheries Breeding Center of An Giang province (AFB) to promote the development of the local aquaculture industry.

Mr. Kang Min Soo (General Director of CJ Vina Agri Feed Industry) and Mr. Kim Choung Hyun (Director of R&D Center) attended the ceremony on behalf of CJ Vina Agri. AFB was represented by Mr. Tran Phung Hoang Tuan (Director) and Mr. Tran Dac Mau (Deputy Director).

Within the framework of the cooperation agreement, CJ Vina Agri and AFB officially established a comprehensive cooperation relationship with the principle of prioritizing the use of products and services offered by each party. Besides, a number of specific cooperation contents were discussed and agreed to be deployed immediately after the ceremony. Accordingly, CJ Vina Agri will cooperate with AFB in producing freshwater aquatic breeds, conducting joint research on freshwater aquatic species such as catfish, snakehead fish, monogamous tilapia, red tilapia, anabas, frog, etc.
The cooperation in the production of aquatic breeds and the researches related to breeding them were carried out at the Binh Thanh Breading Base 2, located in Vinh Trach commune, Thoai Son district, An Giang province. In addition, CJ Vina Agri will use AFB's infrastructure to conduct joint researches of the two parties.
The strategic cooperation agreement was signed to actively enhance the cooperation between two parties for mutual benefits with the aim of contributing to promoting the continuous development of the aquaculture industry and accompanying the development of farming households in An Giang provinces.
Mr. Kang Min Soo - General Director of Feed Business Line of CJ Vina Agri stated that CJ Vina Agri and AFB shared many similarities which enabled both parties to completely and effectively support each other for sustainable development. These similarities include the pioneering thinking and the effort to supply aquaculture feed products of top quality to the market.

With a total agreement on general objectives and terms, the signing ceremony ended successfully, opening up many opportunities for both parties towards extensive cooperation and companionship for mutual sustainable development.
Overview of Fisheries Breeding Center of An Giang province (AFB):
Fisheries Breeding Center of An Giang province is a public non-business unit under the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang province established in 1999. The main functions of the center include: conducting researches and applying advanced technology in breed production; maintaining and conserving aquatic breeds and species that have economic values; producing purebred and disease-free aquatic breeds to serve the development of aquaculture farming and processing; deploying and guiding fishermen to implement technical processes and produce breeds effectively; conducting researches and producing new and rare aquatic breeds with economic values; testing the adaptability, collecting and applying scientific data in production activities to enrich the varieties and species of aquatic products in the province; transferring technology to producers; cooperating with concerned parties to execute (domestic and international) programs and projects to develop the aquaculture sector; supplying fresh aquatic products like giant freshwater prawn, snakehead fish, Asian red tail catfish, swamp eel, red tilapia; cooperating with local and nationwide organizations and individuals to build facilities supplying materials for raising giant freshwater prawns, swamp eels, snakeheads, red tilapia in accordance with quality standards in An Giang province.
