CJ VINA AGRI SUPPORTS POOR STUDENTS IN OVERCOMING DIFFICULTIES TO ACCESS EDUCATION

On the morning of 27 May 2021, in Long An province, the representative of CJ Vina Agri visited My Yen Kindergarten and Nguyen Van Hien Primary & Secondary High School to award scholarships with a total value of VND 10 million to the poor students who have been striving to overcome difficulties. The activity is a part of the company’s program named "Light up the dreams" which is created to support educational activities in Vietnam.

This journey to "Light up the dreams" of CJ Vina Agri began at My Yen Kindergarten (Hamlet 1, My Yen Commune, Ben Luc District, Long An Province), which is a small school with 338 children in total. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu An (Principal) said: “Many children in our school have been facing great difficulties caused by their parents' unstable income combined with the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. In which, there are 7 extremely disadvantaged cases receiving subsidies from scholarship funds sponsored by local donors”. During this visit, CJ Vina Agri gave a scholarship of VND 5 million to the Board of Directors to transfer to the children's families to make their life less difficult and encourage them to continue to go to school.

Mr. Nguyen Thai Son (Human Resources & Legal Director) on behalf of CJ Vina Agri awarded a scholarship worth VND 5,000,000 to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu An (Principal of My Yen Kindergarten).

Afterward, the delegation of the "Light up the dreams" program visited Nguyen Van Hien Primary & Secondary High School (Hamlet 5, My Yen commune, Ben Luc district, Long An province). At present, there are 1359 students in total in the school, 53 of which are good students with very difficult circumstances. In order to express sympathy and empower poor studious children to continue to pursue their dreams, CJ Vina Agri awarded a scholarship of VND 5 million to the Board of Directors of the school. Receiving the scholarship, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Thai (Principal) shared: “The school has completed the year-end review with prizes of 210 backpacks and 10,000 notebooks given to the student. Hopefully, this support from CJ Vina Agri company is invaluable encouragement and motivation for each student to have stronger will and higher confidence to overcome their shortcomings and difficulties to fulfill their dreams, becoming a useful person in the society".

After 20 years since its establishment, going through a long journey with hundreds of scholarships awarded to students who have strived to overcome their difficulties and have studied well throughout Long An province in particular and other provinces in general, the "Light up the dreams" program of CJ Vina Agri continues its noble task in finding role models who need support to continue to pursue their dreams and helping them complete their education to become good citizens to serve the country.
